Color Codedintermediate series

This puzzle asks you to put seven departments in order and assign a color to each one. The easiest way to go about that is to define one sort for the departments, one for the rooms (call them “one”, “two”, etc) and one for the colors. It is then a matter of taste whether you choose to formulate things in terms of a function assigning rooms to departments or departments to rooms.

The new chief of our firm has decided that our offices should be color-coded, presumably to help very unobservant employees work out whether they have reached their own desk or someone else’s. Trouble is, with colors instead of room numbers, it’s a bit tricky to explain to visitors where to find everybody. What we tend to tell them is that as you walk along the corridor:

  1. Human Resources are in the purple room.
  2. Marketing will be found in the middle room of the seven.
  3. If you are looking for Production, you want the room immediately after the green one and immediately before the yellow one.
  4. The Services Department is not in the second, fifth or seventh room. Nor is it next to Accounts. It is, however, somewhere later in the order than HR.
  5. The next to last room is pink. In it you will find either Human Resources, Accounts or Services.
  6. The blue room comes two before the Tea Room, which is not two before the last room.
  7. The third room is not red.

What is where?
