Out Of Sortsadvanced series
The object of this exercise is to re-express a familiar puzzle without using multiple sorts. The puzzle we choose is “Four Trees” from the “Beginner” list.
To make your life easier, the SOLVER button on the side of this page is set to point at a canned solution using the expected sorts for the trees and the order in which they are passed. The result of your transformation should be that these sorts are replaced by a single generic sort “thing” (or any other legal sort name you prefer) and the function declarations and constraints adjusted accordingly. You are to manage without the special sort “int”, though of course you are allowed to use “bool”.
There is an example showing how to go about eliminating sorts on the Out of sorts page of the guide which you should read carefully before tackling the problem.
