Pet Showintermediate series
This is logically similar to most of the “Intermediate” puzzles. As usual, you may like to abbreviate the names. The Inconsequential Seminars puzzle described in the user guide may serve as a useful example to help you get started.
Have you noticed how people look like their pets? It struck me again when looking at the pets in the “Unusual” section of the recent show, where five of us showed off our pets. No lapdogs or fluffy pussy-cats here! I’m George, by the way. We all live in different parts of the city, and at the show we stood in a row, left to right, with our animals.
Harriet was in the first (leftmost) position, furthest away from the animal in the rightmost, which was a magnificant spider – huge, hairy and scary (the spider, I mean).
The person from Evatt, who doesn’t own the echidna, was not standing in the second spot.
Franz lives in the suburb of Banks.
The person occupying position number four, who was neither Joanne nor Isabelle, comes from Downer. Joanne and her lizard were not in position number three either.
The duck from Chapman occupied a higher-numbered position than the animal from Ainslie.
Who owns the frog?
